Seth Rogen and Olivia Wilde are in for a wild dinner party with Penélope Cruz and Edward Norton in the official trailer for A24’s The Invite.

Directed by Wilde from a screenplay by Will McCormack and Rashida Jones, The Invite follows a couple (Wilde, Rogen) whose marriage is currently in a downswing. But what they didn’t expect is a proposition from a couple they have as dinner guests (Cruz, Norton).

As the logline states, “the night spirals into unexpected places,” with Wilde and Rogen’s characters wondering if they have “reignited the spark or lit the match that burns it all down.”

What’s in ‘The Invite’ trailer?

From what the trailer shows, it seems like Cruz and Norton’s characters are swingers, especially since they give the stereotypical “We like your vibe” style of speech to Wilde and Rogen. But the trailer also teases audiences with the fact that a swinging couple isn’t the only surprise The Invite has in store. It seems like that isn’t even the biggest surprise.

When is ‘The Invite’ in theaters?
