A$AP Rocky’s highly anticipated fourth studio album, Don’t Be Dumb has finally dropped, and while reviews have been mixed, one thing seems abundantly clear: There is no love lost between him and former collaborator Drake.
According to HotNewHipHop, the rapper appears to call out the Toronto native on several tracks, claiming “you stole my flow, so I stole yo’ b***h” among other accusations.
Here’s more on Rocky’s clapbacks that appear to be aimed at Drake on Don’t Be Dumb.
Rocky accuses Drake of copying his flow and mocks his rumored BBL on ‘Stole Ya Flow’
On “Stole Ya Flow,” the album’s fourth track, Rocky seems to take aim at Drake, appearing to accuse him of copying his flow and style and even mock his rumored BBL. The line nods to Metro Boomin’s viral “BBL Drizzy” moment and Kendrick Lamar’s jabs at the 39-year-old’s alleged cosmetic surgery on “Euphoria” amid their heated 2024 feud, Complex reported.
“First you stole my flow, so I stole yo’ b***h,” he raps, per HotNewHipHop. “If you stole my style, I need at least like 10% […] N***as getting BBLs, lucky we don’t body shame/ Throwin’ dirt on Rocky name, turn around and copy game […] First you was my bro, p***y n***a switched/ Turned into a opp, f**k his block, he a b***h.”
Rocky teased the diss during a recent appearance on Jon Caramanica and Joe Coscarelli’s podcast, Popcast.
“I think we all know,” Rocky told the hosts when they speculated he was talking about Drake on the track.
Later, Rocky further explained what inspired the track.
“I just started seeing people who started out as friends and then became foes. It seemed like they were unhappy for you and, you know, started sending shots. And I think that is what led to any of our misunderstandings, or whatever the case is,” he said on the show.
While Rocky later claimed the track wasn’t about Drake — instead saying it was about “whoever feels like it’s about them” — his subsequent clapbacks appear to strongly suggest Drake was the intended target.
Rocky also appears to diss Drake on ‘No Trespassing’ and ‘Playa’
According to HotNewHipHop, Rocky also seems to take a shot at Drake on “No Trespassing,” criticizing the “God’s Plan” rapper’s move to Texas.
“N***as lookin’ jealous, see it in his eyes n***as actin’ desperate, you ain’t gotta lie/ I might move to Texas, roll ’round with protection, pull up to your section, hit ’em with the fire,” he raps on the track.
And on “Playa,” Rocky boasts about having no “baby mama drama” and being present for his children — subtle flexes that appear to echo long-standing criticisms Drake has faced in the past.
“Takin’ care of your kids, boy, that’s player s**t,” he raps. “One b***h, boy, that’s player s**t/ No baby mama drama, no new friends, boy, that’s player s**t.”
Don’t Be Dumb is now available on all major streaming platforms.
